  • Overview

Weirdwood Manor is a series of enchanting interactive story-book apps for fantasy fans of all ages beginning with the critically acclaimed and award-winning The Incredible Tales of Weirdwood Manor, first launched in 2015. With its sister company, Wasabi, Relish developed the Living Novel platform, a first of its kind storytelling experience that is part book, part game, and part animated film.

As players journey through the Manor, they unravel mysteries, solve puzzles, and interact with beautifully illustrated environments, creating a bridge between traditional reading and dynamic gameplay.

    My Role

As a Unity Developer, I contributed to the evolution of the Living Novel platform by designing and developing interactive systems and gameplay mechanics that enhanced the storytelling experience.

    Key Contributions:

    • Developed multiple minigames and interactive story moments that advanced the narrative through gameplay.
    • Collaborated with designers and writers to prototype and refine unique mechanics blending story, animation, and player agency.
    • Built flexible minigame systems to accelerate iteration and testing, allowing creative teams to experiment with new gameplay ideas.
